Well, we want to welcome you back to another podcast of Struggling Well and it that title is something that has been a part of my life and my ministry, our life and our ministry for many many years. but it's real this week in ways that are fresh and raw for us as a family, for Suzi and for me. We have faced in the last 10 days a family tragedy that has been the hardest thing that I've had to face in my adult life and I've had face some difficult and hard things and so you're going to hear my voice alone today. Suzi just wasn't up to recording and that means going forward I don't know that we'll be able to come. We've been able to faithfully come for almost a year now every Wednesday with thoughts and we're going to seek hopefully to do that going forward but there may be some times when it's just not possible. So the podcast will take on a different flavor than it has. And I hope you can understand that. I hope you'll pray for us as a family as we walk through and seek to struggle well. And I want to remind you again that struggling well to me is and it's very simple. If I reduce it as simply as I can means that I never stop pointing my face towards Christ. I never stop leaning into Jesus because I need him. I need him on a day like today, but I need him on good days. too and we all do. The Psalms are just a great place of comfort because they are the raw emotions of psalmist that run the gamut of many things. But in Psalm 92 in verse two in the New Living Translation, it reads this way. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. And I've sat with that verse some this week and I thought to myself, why the distinguishing of the psalmist from what you say and what you pray in the morning and what you realize and pray in the evening and I don't know this to be the absolute reason why but it feels like to me that when in the morning when I get up and I face the day I'm reminded of his unfailing love for me his love that will never leave. While human love can change and often does his love is unfailing. It's steadfast. It's covenantal. And I want to begin my day each and every day with that thought in mind that his love will not change. And then when I come to the evening to the end of the day that I've lived, whatever that day has held for me, good stuff and or bad stuff, it is his faithfulness that I'm reminded of as I lay my head on the pillow and I go to sleep. He's a faithful God. And so I don't know what you may be going through in your life right now. I know what we're going through. through. But I want to be reminded, I want you to be reminded of those two great qualities, characteristics, the very core of who God is, that no matter what your day may hold, you face that day with the reality of his unfailing love for you. It will not go away. It can't go away because it's who he is. And in the evening, no matter what kind of day you've been through, when you lay your head down to go to sleep, be reminded of his absolute faithfulness. I can look at my unfaithfulness to him. At times the way I've lived my life, you can too. But he remains absolutely faithful because again, it's who he is. And so as you go through your day today, whatever it may be, as you face what you know to be your tomorrows or you face the unknowns which is where Suzi and I are at right now. There are a lot of unknowns for us. No matter how no matter what you face, rest in the fact that you have a God who loves you with an unfailing love and a God who's absolutely faithful. I trust that you'll take that into your day as God brings us to your mind. Would you pray for us? Have a good day.
