about

Jimmy & Suzi Kallam

Our hope and our prayer is that you would struggle well. And what we mean by that is that you would find your hope in Christ, the one who is the source of hope in the midst of the lives that we live.

The Book

Struggling Well With Life

Yes, you will struggle in this life. You can be confident of that. The question is, are you prepared to struggle well?

Our heart

Creating a safe place

A Safe Place to Be Honest About the Struggle

You love the Lord, but lately something feels off. You still show up, still serve, still smile, and yet on the inside you feel distant, and you're not sure it's safe to say so out loud. So you keep the questions quiet and carry on. We understand that, because we've lived it. This is a place to be honest without fear of judgment. Pull up a chair, tell the truth about where you are, and let's look at what's really going on together.

Choose your path

Real Hope in the Middle of the Struggle

Your struggle is real, and so is the hope. Scripture never promises a life free of trouble; Jesus said that in this world you will have it. But he also promised to be with you in the middle of it. Struggling well doesn't mean everything turns out the way you wanted. It means you never stop pointing your face toward Christ. After more than forty years of walking with people through their hardest seasons, we want to walk this road with you too, toward the hope and healing that are only found in him.

Meeting you where you are

We Meet You Right Where You Are

We start exactly where you are, with no pressure and no pretending. We're not experts who have it all figured out; we're fellow strugglers on the same road, sharing honestly out of what we've actually lived. We'll listen with curiosity instead of judgment, and everything we point you to is anchored in the unchanging Word of God. However you found your way here, through the book, the podcast, or a quiet question you've been carrying, this is where the way forward begins.

about

Jimmy & Suzi Kallam

For more than forty years, Jimmy Kallam pastored one church in Charlotte, thirty-seven of them as senior pastor, walking with people through the whole range of what a life of faith really holds. Struggling Well, the book and the podcast alike, grew straight out of those decades.

Suzi has spent her life leading women back to the truth of Scripture, teaching Bible studies in churches and living rooms alike. She and Jimmy have been married for fifty years, and she brings that same honesty to every conversation they share here.

I tell people all the time: when I was a pastor, I didn't have it all together. I was a fellow struggler on the road.
